Diverse City is staffed with teachers who love children and are committed to assisting your child’s growth in faith and love for Jesus Christ. Diverse City is a fun learning environment. In our lessons we have built an ark, gone to the zoo, transformed our classroom into outer space, led a treasure hunt, and dined as Jesus did. In addition we have sent our children to kids’ camp and Trick-or-Treated for Unicef.
Our Lessons:
Teach as Jesus Taught! Diverse City teachers use the Hands-on Bible Curriculum. The lessons are active, so the classroom is full of happy kids having fun. The Learning Lab objects serve an important function in attaching a visual and tactile reminder of the point of the lesson. This isn't a new idea. Jesus often used everyday objects (sheep, stones, and fish) to teach about God and His kingdom. In the same way, Hands-On Bible Curriculum uses captivating objects to capture children's attention, engage their senses, clarify the lesson's point and lock it into their long-term memories.
Our Missions:
Diverse City children have pen pals across the world, connecting them with believers their age in different countries and reinforcing the mission of creating a global family of believers in Jesus Christ. We write to our pen pals and pray for their needs. Our children also sponsor a child, Din Thi Huy, through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
Quizzing:
On Wednesday nights during the school year our children engage in a Bible study with a fun, trivia-game style. Several quiz meets are held throughout the year, where the children have the opportunity to compete for ribbons and trophies. Some of our children have even competed in Orlando, Florida for World Quiz!
